Band – Whetstone Remembrance Parade 2025

Sunday 09th November 2025

Band Members

All members to arrive in full uniform at 09:00 hours at Whetstone Parish Centre.  Remember to wear thermals, extra tights / T-Shirts  etc under your uniform to keep warm!!

Transport : Drivers to park at the Public car park opposite the bulls head  so we can make a swift exit to Great Glen.   After the parade is fallen out, members will go to their cars and travel to Great Glen.  Senior members with cars are required to assist with transport.  Young members will travel on the minibus.  There are no subs for the mini bus or this event.   DO NOT PARK ON HIGH STREET  OR ON ANY PAVEMENTS!  Instrument cases to be left in cars ready or locked away in the store.

09:10 – All Members to meet at whetstone parish centre

09:15 – Mini bus will start transport Members to Dog and Gun lane.  Drummers First, Bells 2nd, Brass last.   Brass will warm up and tune at the Parish Centre.

Parents are to make their own was to the start of the parade should they wish to join the parade.

10:00 – Parade falls in at Dog and Gun Lane 

10:10 – Parade Starts

10:45 – Arrive at Whetstone War Memorial

10:55 –  Remembrance Service

11:10 Service ends, all members to get in cars / bus ASAP

12:00 Fall in—Great Glen Parade

13:00 Great Glen parade finishes.

13:30 Arrive back at the centre (approx)
