Whetstone CLCGB has provided services to young people of South Leicestershire for over 55 Years and we are still going strong!
Every Wednesday at 18:30 – 19:30 – This session is for beginners who want to learn an instrument. Whether you already play, or have never picked up an instrument beofre you will be very welcome at Whetstone CLCGB. We charge £1.50 each week towards our costs. We even supply the instruments. Why not come on down and try something new?
Our senior band is a mixture of young people and adults. We are a traditional marching brass band and play at many engagements throughout the year. Both young people and adults are welcome to join. The band meets at 19:30-21:30 every Wednesday and costs just £1.50. Our uniform is a traditional military style uniform in navy blue. We play a wide genre of music from marches, to movie classics. We meet every week on a Wednesday night. Once you have joined, you can take take part in our events including parades and concerts all year round!
